These are dark times on the docks, poverty and disease are rife, thieves lurk in the shadows, but a greater threat than crime or pestilence is filling the residents of Whitby with dread. A spate of disappearances have led to a warehouse containing a dark secret...perhaps the night watchman might provide some insight.
As the top detectives in Yorkshire, you have been called in to solve the case.
This game is a little creepy but it is not a horror game. Although it does have a creepy Whitby theme, there are no real people inside the game to scare you.
Make sure to bring your glasses as this room has thematic lighting throughout.
Although we don't level our games, we think The Night Watchman Returns is slightly easier than A Curious Case.

Christmas is cancelled in Whitby. Why? Because Jeannie, the ancient and merciless fae witch of Mulgrave Woods, has declared it so.
Twisted with spite and shimmering with dark magic, Jeannie has stolen every single Christmas tradition—the carols, the hot chocolate, the stockings, the snow. Even the spirit of joy itself. All of it ripped from the hearts of the townspeople and hidden deep within her cursed woodland home.
No one dares cross into Mulgrave Woods anymore—not since the severed horse incident that still haunts the whispers of pub corners and cold winter nights.
But time is running out. If the traditions are not returned before midnight, the magic of the season will vanish forever... and so will anyone who lingers too long in Jeannie's part of the woods.
Will you venture into the shadowed trees? Will you risk being caught in the witch’s woodland home? Can you find the stolen traditions and escape before she returns?
Dare to enter. Try to escape. But beware...
No one who stays too long is ever seen again.
Please note: Fans of “A Christmas Kookie” (our 2024 Christmas Game) will recognise the style and some puzzles, but expect a new setting, some additional puzzles, and a festive challenge like no other!
This is a collecting style game. It contains many festive puzzles, and you will need to solve as many as you can before making your escape.
